We have over 30 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation and evaluation. If return to work is the goal, Hostetler-Fontaine & Associates attempts to introduce job placement services as soon as possible after the injury, since this has proven to yield the best results. Initial contact centers around a rehabilitation professional obtaining a diagnosis and prognosis of the current medical situation from the injured worker and his or her physician, as well as the exploration of the injured worker’s vocational history.
A Proven Methodology
Where others take the long approach, it’s our goal is to resolve cases in 90 to 120 days. Our counselors will provide each claimant with every opportunity to return to viable employment. We are also committed to providing feedback to our customers and referral sources throughout the rehabilitation process. It is our practice to assist claimants return to employment as quickly as reasonable possible because we understand that the longer one remains unemployed, the less likely it is that they will return.
Should a return to work with the original employer not be possible, a vocational assessment will be made to determine, with the injured worker, several areas of employment which are within their interests and abilities for which there appears to be a reasonable chance of employment within his or her geographic location. Hostetler-Fontaine & Associates then institutes Active and Accountable job development activities in an attempt to locate a job. During this phase we will contact a large number of prospective employers to set up appointments for the injured worker to attend interviews, and we will perform employer follow up activities.
In cases where an individual’s employability, wage earning capacity, or rehabilitation potential in question, our experienced counselors are professionally trained to render independent vocational opinions. These opinions are based on sound methodology and have used in both litigated and non-litigated claims, auto no-fault, longshoreman, and personal liability cases. Our expert reports have also been used to facilitate case resolution, claims management, as well as aid in determining the most effective path toward returning to viable employment.
